Daniel had just graduated with the class of 2007 at MHS when he lost his life-long battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Those of us who had the privilege to work with him remember him with great admiration as he never let his illness keep him from experiencing all life had to offer. The spirit, determination, courage, and hope displayed throughout his life and his illness made Daniel a hero to those who knew him. He had a contagious spirit and personality that welcomed each person he met. Dan could brighten any day with his wonderful sense of humor and flair for the dramatic.
The award is made annually to a member of the Medfield High School Theatre Society, the club where Dan enjoyed much of his high school years and where he gained the respect of everyone. The recipient of this award is a member of the club who displays a strong moral character, a genuine respect for life, and a deep appreciation for family and friends. They are courteous, kind, and considerate to all. The winner personifies the true spirit of Dan - compassionate, optimistic, dependable, determined and hard-working with a bright spirit and a kind soul.
Daniel had a love for life and lived each moment that life gave him. His strong 'warrior' spirit lives within the recipients of this award.

On September 19th we will be holding an evening of comedy and silent auction to fund this scholarship for future recipients. As it would also have been Dan's 21st birthday and in celebration of his wonderful sense of humor we can think of no better way to honor his life, so we hope you will join us!
